10 Sep 26 – The Windward Islands
Arranged by Rod Vousden FRPSL, Honorary Keeper of the Royal Philatelic Collection
September 10 @ 13:00 – 17:00
The Windward Islands, namely Grenada, St Lucia, Trinidad and Tobago
This Meeting is for Fellows and Members only
The long-standing tradition that the first meeting in the new season of the Royal Philatelic Society London is a display from the Royal Philatelic Collection will be continued this year, arranged by Rod Vousden FRPSL, Honorary Keeper of the Royal Philatelic Collection.
On behalf of His Majesty King Charles III, it is my pleasure to present items from The Royal Philatelic Collection to the Fellows and Members of The Royal Philatelic Society London.
On this occasion the choice is a selection of material from three territories in the Southern area of the Caribbean, the displays being from Grenada, Trinidad and Tobago, and St. Lucia. These Territories are located in that part of the Caribbean which has a long history of business and social connections with the United Kingdom. As a result, their postage stamps are to be found in many parts of the world. This Exhibition presents issues from the early period of postage stamps in the Victorian era to the last issues from the reign of His Majesty King George VI.
